Well, 2025 hasn’t gone quite as I had planned in these first few weeks. After a tough 2024 for me personally, goal setting and plans have been the last thing on my mind. For those of us here in Los Angeles, the weight of everything, especially after the recent events from the Palisades and Eaton fires, has been truly overwhelming. Many of us are feeling heavy-hearted and a bit lost. Yet, the one thing I hold onto is the incredible strength and unity of our community. We’ve come together in ways that remind me of the resilience that runs deep in our city.

As 2024 comes to a close, I’m reflecting on the connections, stories, and wins that made this year what it was. Even in a year that had its challenges, there were so many moments worth celebrating.

This year has been a wild ride, hasn’t it? So many ups and downs, unexpected twists, and moments that felt like just surviving. I know I’m not alone on this struggle bus—so many of you have shared similar stories of change, loss, growth, and just trying to keep it all together. But through all the chaos, there’s still so much to be grateful for, and I want to take a moment to reflect on that with you.

What is the one thing that happens every time you are gathered around friends and family? You’re sitting around mom’s dining room table or your best friend’s living room and before you know it, someone says “Remember that one time…” and the next thing you know, you’re 2 hours down memory lane and everyone is smiling and laughing about all those treasure memories!

I have a confession to make this year… ready for it? I didn’t take my annual family photos. For the first time in over 12 years, I skipped it. Every year, without fail, I’ve made it a priority. Whether we’re home or traveling, capturing these moments has been my tradition. I usually hire a photographer to document these precious memories that turn into holiday cards, keepsakes, and reminders of all that the year held. But this year, life had other plans.
