The Challenges & Solutions
One of the unique challenges with real estate teams is the fluidity of team members. Julie wanted to include her growing team but also ensure that team photos remained usable, even as changes happened. We solved this by capturing multiple variations, some featuring all four members and others highlighting different pairings. This way, she always has a fresh mix of imagery to use.

Another challenge? Coordinating outfits for a cohesive look. Fortunately, the team nailed it with polished, neutral looks that worked beautifully across different seasons and platforms.
Why Location Matters in Brand Photos
A great location can truly transform branding photos. For Julie’s session, we used a modern, beautifully lit home that she had just sold. The timing was perfect – it was clean, staged, and photo-ready, giving us the ideal backdrop for polished yet relatable images. This setting allowed us to capture the feel of a high-end real estate brand while also reflecting Julie’s personal touch and style.
Behind the Scenes Fun & Memorable Moments
The “No Talking” Challenge
Julie is incredibly warm and engaging, a natural people person! But that also meant when I asked her to walk and “pretend” she was showing a property, we had to redo the shot multiple times. Why? Because she couldn’t stop talking mid-shot, leading to some hilarious moments of awkward mid-sentence facial expressions. Eventually, I told her: “Just think it, don’t say it!” That led to so many laughs, and Julie quickly realized, she literally cannot walk without talking!

Action Shots That Stand Out
Beyond the classic posed team photos, we incorporated action shots to bring energy to her brand. One of my favorite setups looked like a “live boomerang” moment where we showed her in motion, engaging with her team, and bringing clients into the home-buying experience in a natural way. These shots create a sense of movement, making her marketing feel more dynamic and engaging.
The Ultimate Cheese & Dessert Moment
The highlight of the shoot? The celebratory cheese and dessert scene. Maybe it was because it was lunchtime, but when we finally got to this setup, the team was thrilled! This scene was designed to mirror how they host open houses, welcoming potential buyers with hospitality and warmth. Plus, fun fact: Sam actually baked the cake herself, so of course, we had to capture a few shots of her proudly presenting it!
