Hey You, Yeah You With the Cold Coffee. This One’s For You.

Branding

April 24, 2026

Let me paint a picture…It’s Friday.

You have approximately 47 browser tabs open, a to-do list that somehow got longer since Monday, and a coffee sitting next to you that you’ve reheated three times and still haven’t actually finished.

You told yourself today was going to be a light day & we both know how that’s going.

Here’s the thing about women like you, and I mean this in the absolute best way, you don’t really know how to stop. Not because you’re bad at boundaries, not because you haven’t read the wellness content (you have, it’s in one of those 47 tabs), but because you actually care. About what you’re building. About the people you serve and about doing it right.

So you work on your day off. You answer the email at 9pm. You spend your lunch break doing the thing you said you’d delegate.

And somehow, in all of that doing, you forgot to notice how far you’ve actually come.

Let me say that again, slower.

You started something. From an idea, from a feeling, from a “what if I just tried” moment that probably terrified you a little. You didn’t just try, you kept going. Through the slow seasons where the inquiries went quiet and you refreshed your inbox more times than you’d like to admit. Through the moments where you compared your chapter 3 to someone else’s chapter 10 and felt like you were somehow behind. Through the days where you did the work and nothing happened and you did it again anyway.

That’s not hustle culture nonsense. That’s just you. Quietly, stubbornly, beautifully refusing to quit.

Now here’s where I’m going to say something that might sting just a little.

You’ve been hiding. Not on purpose. Not dramatically. But in that subtle, sneaky way where you tell yourself you’ll update your headshots “when things slow down” or invest in personal branding photos “once you’re more established” or show up more visibly online “when you feel more ready.”

Friend. You’ve been ready. You’re just scared of being seen.

And I get it, I’m a personal branding photographer in Los Angeles and I still understand the vulnerability of stepping in front of a camera and saying “this is me, look at me, I’m worth looking at.” It feels enormous. It feels like a lot.

But here’s what I’ve watched happen, over and over, with the women I photograph across Los Angeles, Burbank, Pasadena, Studio City, Orange County and beyond:

When a woman finally decides to show up for herself, fully, visibly, on purpose, something shifts. She stops apologizing for taking up space. She starts sending the pitch, posting the content, charging the rate. She walks a little different.

Not because the photos changed her. But because the decision did.

So this is your Friday reminder.

Put down the cold coffee. Close two of the tabs, just two, I’m not a miracle worker haha. Ask yourself honestly, “Am I showing up in a way that actually reflects who I am and what I’ve built?”

If the answer is “my headshot is from 2019 and I have a completely different business now,” hi, hello, that’s what I’m here for.

You’ve done the hard part. You built the thing. You showed up when it was hard and kept going when it was uncertain and figured it out when you had no idea what you were doing.

Now let’s make sure the world can actually see her.

Because she’s kind of incredible. And she deserves to be seen.
