Newborn sessions with siblings are seriously so much fun to shoot. We are documenting some of their first interactions together and the older siblings personality as they experience being the older child for the first time!

For this session, big brother Carter who is 10 was so excited to be apart of it and take pictures with his little sister, Brooklyn was only 17 days old at the time! How adorable is big brother with his little baby sister?! The sweetness is just too much. He is such a wonderful big brother!

When I asked Mom some questions prior to the shoot, she let me know that as a family they thrive on quality time spent together and also that she really wanted sweet, non-obviously posted pictures. Both of these are my speciality – capturing those moments that truly show off who you are as a family, and making it seem easy and candid, not forced!

Sometimes during our sessions, baby is awake and that’s ok, I will still capture their cuteness and snap a few details in-between. Plus, it can make for some pretty cute photos too, look at baby Brooklyn’s sweet face!

We do most of our newborn sessions in the comfort of the family home. This allows for the family, especially Mama, to not have to stress about getting out of the house and also to keep the newborn safely in their element without venturing in the world yet. After the shoot, the feedback we received from Mama was: “I would have to say the willingness of Krista to travel to our house and shoot our family newborn session with the walls of our home was our favorite part. It was really important for me to have newborn pictures done but with the current situation of this world and having a newborn, there was no way I was getting out of the house for pictures. We were so thankful for Krista!” It makes me so happy to come in your homes and make this a special and comfortable experience for everyone!
