Ever just sitting at your desk and want to be whisked away to a magical place? Happens to me all the time! Today, we are going to do just that, take you to another place, even if just for a minute! How about a trip to magical Scotland!

I have been completely taken over by the travel bug. You know that feeling, the itch to jump on a plane and explore some place new, new culture, new environment, new views and, of course, new places to photograph.

Oh wait, that’s just me. You probably don’t pick your vacations based on the probability of getting great photos, lol.

It’s summertime, the time when families gather and travel. So I thought it would be a perfect time to share the trip Aldo and I recently took to Scotland and Ireland!

It was amazing! So many amazing views and such a different culture.

I think that is my favorite thing about traveling, getting a glimpse into another life. I mean there is the obvious reason of just getting away from it all and relaxing, but really, I love new adventures. That’s one of the reasons why I love photographing weddings so much. It’s always a new adventure. Combine travel with a wedding for a destination wedding and I would be in heaven.

Today, I am going to take you to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Oban, Isle of Skye, Inverness.

Check back tomorrow for a trip to Ireland – Belfast, Gallway, Cork, Cliffs of Moher, Killarney (Ring of Kerry) and Dublin.

Much of our vacation was a road trip through Ireland and Scotland. There were so many sights to see that it was hard to resist and just stay in one place.

There was lots of hiking and exploring with such beautiful views. Cairngorms National Park was breathtaking.
I became obsessed with the sheep! OMG! They were the cutest and filled the land everywhere!
Of course we had a little photo session scheduled for Aldo and I. We decided to shoot around Arthurs Seat and then hike to the peek. Did I mention I did this in my skirt? lol. That was fun!
The Whiskey tasting, man that was a blast! The Scotch Whiskey Experience tour in Edinburgh was awesome!
There were lots of castles to explore and Whiskey to taste!
And the roads, oh man the tiny A roads are rough. Just enough to fit one car over so we were always looking ahead to be ready for that one spot where there’s is a pullout so we didn’t collide. And the sheep think they own the road! It was hilarious!
I think my favorite experience in Scotland was Isle of Skye! I would recommend staying there for a couple of days so you can fully explore this area. There are tons of places to hike and sites see. Sadly, we only got to see a couple. Plus, they have the cutest stores and eateries. It’s a warm welcoming little town.
