As a brand photographer for women-owned small businesses, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of what imagery can do to aid in the empowerment of women entrepreneurs. I’ve captured moments of confidence, equality, and the realization of dreams – and I feel so lucky to keep doing this. Brand photography serves as a driving force for for empowerment, using experiences and insights from my clients to tell their brand story.

Capturing Confidence

One client who stands out in my mind is Julie Mollo, an extraordinary real estate agent. When she first approached me for a branding photoshoot, she expressed hesitations about being in front of the camera. However, throughout our session, I witnessed her confidence grow as she embraced her authenticity and unique brand identity. The images radiate her inner strength and determination, empowering her to connect with her audience on a deeper level.

Visualizing Equality

For those who haven’t heard of LilypaDesigns, let me tell you, she is changing the game of bra fashion and fitting. As a woman with a larger bust, I’ve always dreaded bra shopping. It’s expensive, it’s usually a snooze-fest, and finding something cute for the well-endowed? Nearly impossible. Lily is rewriting the script by focusing on patterns that cater to all sizes. Lily believes that every woman deserves to feel confident and empowered, regardless of her shape or size. During our sessions together, I’m always inspired by Lily’s dedication to inclusivity and body positivity.

From Dreams to Reality

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the transformation of dreams into reality. The founding women from Inches to Milestones had a vision for their brand that was eager to bring to life. Inches to Milestones is an Early Childhood Development Group that aims to provide education, support, and resources to our community. They work closely with families to provide personalized care and guidance in the form of Baby & Me classes.

Through our collaborative efforts and strategic visual storytelling, we were able to create a compelling brand narrative that resonated with her target audience. From the initial concept to the final product, it was inspiring to see their dreams take flight and her business flourish as a result.

We get to see firsthand the profound impact that brand photography can have in altering the way a brand is confidently presented to their ideal clients.
