Strawberry Vanilla Simple Syrup

Ingredients

1. 1 cups water
2. 1 cups granulated sugar
3. 1 cup chopped strawberries
4. 1 vanilla bean or 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Intructions

1. Combine water and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
2. Lower to a simmer and add strawberries to saucepan. Stir to combine.
3. Let simmer until sugar is dissolved and syrup begins to thicken, about 10 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and strain syrup through a fine mesh sieve, discarding solids, into a heatproof container like a bowl or a mason jar.
5. Add one vanilla bean to container and place in fridge to cool for at least three hours before using.

Make Your Love Potion Cocktails!

Ingredients

This recipe makes 2 cocktails!

1. 5 oz. vodka
2. 3 oz. strawberry vanilla simple syrup (recipe below)
3. 1 oz. lime juice
4. Soda water

Instructions

1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add vodka, strawberry vanilla simple syrup, and lime juice. Shake well.
2. Pour mixture into two glasses filled with ice.
3. Top with soda water and additional sliced strawberries, conversation hearts, or anything else you desire.
