Soon you’ll be gathering your loved ones around your Thanksgiving table!

I wanted to share with you how thankful I am for each and everyone of you. From the smallest to biggest gesture, you have helped me live out my dream of being a photographer. I feel so lucky and am so thankful for this opportunity. Of course not every single day is perfect, but each day I am grateful to continue with my dream and I have you to thank for that.

Every like, comment, referral, email and session reminds me how lucky I am to have such an amazing community to work with. I love working with you, your friends and family, but most of all I love connecting with you and creating a connection beyond just taking photos.

I thought I’d share a little behind the scenes of this beautiful rose arrangement that you can make from your local garden or grocery store. It was put together by one of my most beloved florists, Susan of Peony and Plum.

Susan of Peony and Plum has some great thrifty advice for us. Don’t worry about making another trip out to buy flowers! You’re already so busy gathering your décor and scrambling to make sure all the food is prepared just right. Consider making your centerpiece from whatever you have available in your backyard! It just takes a few moments to create a beautiful bouquet with the flowers and greens you already have…and the best thing? It’s free – now that’s something to be thankful for!

Susan showed me that I can make really cool arrangements using floral and greenery right at my fingertips, without even leaving the house.  Anything goes, just pick your favorite flowers, add some greenery and then boom…you’ve combined a luscious gorgeous bouquet.
