The holidays are going to be right around the corner, can you believe it?! The fact that school bells are ringing and fall is only a few weeks away, holidays will be here before we know it! That means it’s time for mini session holiday portraits! This may even seem early, but trust me, it’s the perfect time to get your mini session booked!

I get a lot of questions about what a mini session is, and what is included in that. So, today I am going to break that all down for you!

What is a mini session?

A typical portrait experience lasts an hour or more, a mini session only lasts 20 minutes. It is a simple quick session where you know it will just focus on getting a few great, key shots for your holiday card or to update the walls of your home or document a memory of this moment in time. This is great if you have kiddos (or husbands) that don’t love being in a lot of pictures! 

Mini sessions allow current clients the potential to have multiple sessions throughout the year. It allows them to document the moments that change in an instant, and are a great way for a new client to have a small taste of the Krista Mason Photography experience.

When can I book?

Every photographer is different, but usually they offer mini sessions a few times a year! For 2024, we will be offering 20 minute sessions at specific Los Angeles and Orange County locations, during the months of October, November, December. This year I will be offering sessions all throughout each month, so you get to pick the best date and time that works for you and your family!

Who is it for?

Everyone: FAMILIES // COUPLES // MATERNITY // HEADSHOTS // DOGS

A quick session with the family (fur babies included) for the holiday card or a quick session to update your website profile image.

What is Included?

We will deliver 25 images with add-on options, 7-14 days after your session via an online gallery. Included is a virtual consult to help select your favorites and best ways to display and update your image collection. If you’re on our VIP list, as an added 2024 bonus, the image turnaround time is even faster!

Add-ons include (but are not limited to) : additional digital files, gift prints, framed/canvas prints, holiday cards, photo ornaments, and albums.

What if I want to extend my session time?

As many of you know, our schedule is jam-packed with amazing sessions this year, and to keep things running smoothly, we’re sticking strictly to our 20-minute mini sessions. I know some of you have enjoyed a little extra time in the past, but this year, we’re tightening things up to make sure everyone gets the same fabulous experience.

But don’t worry! If you feel like you need a bit more camera time, we’re offering a special bonus: add an extra 10 minutes for just a small upgrade! Or, if you’re looking for something more, our 40-minute private sessions are always an option for a more in-depth shoot.
