What is boudoir photography?
Boudoir photography is an opportunity to show your passion, strength, power and femininity while accentuating your sensuality. Boudoir photography is captured in a classy, elegant manner to express your beauty and show your gorgeous physique through stunning photographs. It’s your chance to feel sexy in a private, intimate setting that is just as much an exciting experience for yourself as it is for the recipient.
Do I Have To Be Naked? Not at all. Actually we encourage the allure of being naked and avoid all x-rated photos. We are not that kinda girl.
You don’t even have to wear barely-there lingerie if you don’t want to. We aim to capture the sensuality and mystique of you. You have control over what you want to wear that makes you feel most comfortable and confident. The shoot is all about you and your femininity.
How to feel comfortable during the session?
Yup we know, taking photos can feel intimidating and awkward and now your stripping down to your skivvies. If you are saying, “Are you kidding me?” Nope we are not and we can’t wait to show you how empowering it is! As a female photographer, I’ll be styling and posing you with expert guidance throughout the shoot, so that you can feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. With a warm welcome, some guidance, maybe a little champagne, some conversation, and some awesome jams your anxieties will melt away and before you know it we will be having the best time ever!
Hair and Make-up is a must! To help feel your best we recommend hiring a professional hair and make-up team. We have some awesome teams that we work with and would be delighted to share their info with you! I dunno about you, but nothing makes me feel more confident than a stylish do and picture perfect make-up by a processional glam squad! Your look can vary from natural to glam, it’s what you are most comfortable with. Fake eyelashes and hair extensions are commonly used.
Every woman has a “problem” area that she feels self-conscious about. How do you work around that?
Ain’t that the truth! I have a few. With our in-depth questionnaire we get to know you your favorite parts and your least favorite parts. And if you are giving this as a gift we like to know the recipients favorite parts of you as well. Cause god knows my favorites are not the same as my husbands, lol. Then on the day of the shoot we feature your favorites and with posing and lighting we minimize your least favorite areas.
Where do we shoot?
You are ready to go for it or at least getting there. Now it’s time to select a location. Your home is one of the most comfortable spaces you can shoot in. However, if you don’t have the space for it or can’t figure out how to get your significant other out of the house without them suspecting something, you can always book a hotel room or choose another private location. Sometimes a friends home is the perfect location or a rented AirBnB.
Outfits, Props and Accessories
Typically a boudoir session includes lots of lingerie, but that doesn’t mean you have to go out and splurge on every new cute outfit. First, think about the vibe and look you want: sexy, playful, flirty, fun or glam, maybe a mix of all. You don’t have to pose in lingerie or your skivvies. You can wear a more modest outfit such as jeans and a tank or your significant other’s favorite shirt that he loves to see you walk around in. Props and accessories can be a fun addition as well. Such a veils, jewelry, high heels, stockings, and anything else you can think of that will make your session more intimate and personal.
What Do I Do With The Photos?
The most popular way to showcase these stunning images is with a handcrafted album to give as a special gift. You can also get a few of these pictures framed, maybe slip them in his drawer to serve as a sexy reminder.
