Thanksgiving Week Gratitude

Event

November 24, 2025

This year has been full of twists, turns, and those moments where “just surviving” felt like an accomplishment. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. So many of you have shared your own stories of growth, change, and keeping it all together, and it reminds me why taking a pause to be grateful is so important.

First, thank you. To my clients, friends, family, and followers, I could not do this without you. You make this job more than photography. Every session becomes a special moment, and your encouragement, cheers, and support have carried me through this year. Some of you I have known for over 17 years, others I met just this year, and each of you brings something inspiring to my journey.

Thanksgiving traditions in our home are all about the table and the energy around it. I love the cooking, the laughter, the chaos, and the little moments that make the day feel magical. Thanksgiving here is never just a day; it is a week-long adventure of prepping, styling, and embracing the imperfect moments. One year, there were more dogs than humans at the table, and another year I left the mac and cheese in the microwave “resting” and didn’t find it until I was cleaning up. Doh! Moments like that are exactly what make Thanksgiving so memorable.

Aldo and I spend hours cooking, laughing, and setting the table so it feels inviting and full of life. Looking back at all our Thanksgiving tables over the years is one of my favorite parts of the season. Each table tells a story, the colors, textures, little personal touches, and the chaos that inevitably happens in the kitchen. My favorite part? Getting creative with the table and making it feel warm, fun, and a little over-the-top. If you want to see it all come together, check out these tablescape reels from past years: Reel 1 | Reel 2

We have a full house this year, and we will be figuring out how to seat, decorate, and cook for 15. Wish us luck.

As we head into the holiday season, here is my reminder: no matter what this year has brought, there is always room for gratitude. Thank you for being part of my journey and letting me be part of yours. Here is to embracing the joy, the laughter, and the perfectly imperfect moments of the season.

What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving? What is your must-have dish?

With love and gratitude,

Krista
