This year has been one of the most challenging in my business, even more than during COVID, if you can believe it. But here’s the honest truth: taking time to reflect on my wins has really pushed me to move forward and see the gratitude. Even though it hasn’t been super easy, there are always wins.
What I’ve realized is that many of my biggest wins this year have been personal ones, and that’s perfectly okay. Growth doesn’t always show up as a new client or a major milestone; sometimes it looks like trying something new, expanding your creativity, or finding joy again in the little things.
This year, I’ve really reached and tried to do things differently, to shake off burnout, step out of my comfort zone, and focus on growth in both my personal life and my business.

Here are a few wins I’m celebrating:
- Landing an ongoing marketing client and expanding the storytelling marketing side of my work.
- Starting watercolor art, which has brought new creativity into my photography.
- Growing more confident in my work, my voice, and myself.
- Being a guest on my first podcast with Elsa Elbert of Composed Living (listen here!).
- Continuing to grow our Women Entrepreneurs Group and watching more women connect and collaborate.
- Traveling to Italy with friends, sharing extraordinary adventures, and building deeper friendships.
- Climbing the Florence Duomo, a feat I was sure I’d die trying, lol.
- Pushing myself to try new things, from restaurants and concerts to art and Pilates and finding new ways to connect with potential clients through it all.
This Women’s Business Week, I want to remind you that your wins matter, no matter what form they take. Whether you’re navigating challenges, pivoting directions, or rediscovering yourself…it all counts. Growth is still growth.
As we move into the holidays and look toward the new year, it’s the perfect time to pause, reflect, and celebrate how far you’ve come.
So here’s to growth, the messy, beautiful, surprising kind. Because every step, even the hard ones, leads us somewhere worth going.
Reflecting on Wins!
As we celebrate National Women’s Business Week, I wanted to take a moment not just to reflect on my own wins, but to highlight the incredible achievements of some of my clients.
One thing I’ve learned while reaching out to them is how often we forget to stop and celebrate our wins, big or small. When we do, it reminds us of how far we’ve come, what we’ve accomplished, and that we’re still going strong and making progress.
So, take a moment to read some of my clients’ wins below, and then pause to think about your own. What are you proud of this year? I’d love to celebrate with you, cheer you on, and support you along the way.
Here are just a few inspiring wins from women in my community:

Elsa Elbert | Composed Living
This year, Elsa hosted another successful Composed Giving Fundraiser, relaunched her podcast to shine a light on inspiring women in business, and started her PhD in Leadership Studies, a lifelong dream now coming true. Her passion for empowering others continues to inspire everyone around her.
It’s such a great reminder that growth often comes from stepping into new challenges and embracing opportunities that push us beyond what we thought was possible. Elsa’s dedication to empowering others while continuing her own journey is inspiring for anyone working to grow both personally and professionally.

Lisa McMillan | Remy’s Kitchen
Lisa shared, “A big win for me and our business this year was finally outsourcing marketing and newsletters. This has not only taken a load off my shoulders (business owner over here trying to do everything!) but it has helped us grow sales and keep outreach to customers much more consistent.”
It’s such a great reminder that growth often comes from letting go of the things that weigh us down and creating space for new opportunities. Lisa’s commitment to growing Remy’s Kitchen while staying true to her values and creativity is so inspiring.

Julie Mollo | Realtor
Julie Mollo Homes had an incredible year helping her clients find their dream homes.
- She guided one client back into a beloved home they had once lost in escrow and made sure every detail was handled with care.
- She also helped another family secure a beautiful home after patiently staying connected through delays and challenges.
Her persistence, compassion, and dedication truly make a difference for her clients, and she is a reminder that every win, big or small, deserves celebration.

Melanie Klein | Business Coach
This year, my client Melanie chose a powerful word to guide her: visibility. She has embodied it fully, traveling to Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, New York, and soon Boise and Florida while speaking, connecting, and showing up in big ways.
During our session earlier this year, we captured a photo of her walking in front of a mural of a breaking wave. Recently, Melanie shared that the image perfectly represents her entrepreneurial journey. She sees it as a metaphor for using tension for growth and finding strength in movement.
She said it best: “There’s me, being an entrepreneur, walking next to the curl of a breaking wave. I couldn’t have imagined better imagery.”
Moments like this are why I love capturing stories through brand photography.
Here’s to the women who keep showing up, evolving, and leading with courage. You’re my inspiration this week and every week.
