It’s that time of year! Soon you’ll be gathering your loved ones around your Thanksgiving table! Have you thought about your centerpieces yet? Well, I thought I’d share a little behind the scenes of this beautiful rose arrangement. It was put together by one of my most beloved florists, Susan of Peony and Plum.
Susan is so creative! She had some great thrifty advice for us. Don’t worry about making another trip out to buy flowers! You’re already so busy gathering your décor and scrambling to make sure all the food is prepared just right. Consider making your centerpiece from whatever you have available in your backyard! It just takes a few moments to create a beautiful bouquet with the flowers and greens you already have…and the best thing? It’s free – now that’s something to be thankful for!
When it comes to flowers, one of my favorites is the Juliet English garden rose. My least favorite? The traditional red rose with the long stems. I know…I know, they’re a Valentines fave, but I’ve just never been a fan. It’s so amazing that my favorite and least favorite flower can come from the same amazing family. Hmmm, maybe it sounds like your family dinner table at Thanksgiving? There’s always one. : )
This shoot was so fun for me! Susan showed me that I can make really cool arrangements using floral and greenery right at my fingertips, without even leaving the house. Anything goes, just pick your favorite flowers, add some greenery and then boom…you’ve combined a luscious gorgeous bouquet.
Thanks Susan for sharing a few of your secret skills and helping us capture the story of these beautiful roses.
