Your never too grown-up to update your family portraits

Has this happened to you? You’re hanging out at your parents’ house and all of a sudden, you’re having bad flashbacks to the 90s. It’s not because the home decor or your parents’ fashion scene, but because … there it is … the huge 30×40 family portrait hanging above the fireplace. All of you matching in denim and black shirts lounging on the floor with those ridiculously fake smiles. Not to mention, you haven’t looked like that teenage girl for at least 15 years! You tell your mom, “I think it’s really time to update this portrait!” You and your sister may not be living at home any longer, but anytime you come over or … god forbid, other people come over … this is the latest representation of your family. That’s just not cool. Am I right? I mean come on, you’re a hip modern fashionable gal, but that portrait states otherwise! So what do you do? You convince your parents it’s time for a change.
In this case, Kayla gifted her family a portrait session for the holidays! What a perfect gift for the whole family! Now mom and dad can display a beautiful piece of photographic art that is current in style and in fashion sense. One that you won’t want to pull off the mantle and hide every time someone comes over. It doesn’t matter that all the kids are grown and starting their own life. You are still family and your parents still want to proudly show off their beautiful family. So, why not get that portrait updated with one that is true to who you all are now, not stuck in the 90s time warp. I mean the fashion scene was questionable back then, but now it’s just wrong … lol.
Together, Kayla and I found the perfect location. Being in the fashion industry, Kayla coordinated her family’s outfits. Don’t they look great! Now, their walls are decked out with the most stunning family portraits that reflect the current decade’s fashion and the modern style of their lovely home. And for you? No more cringing as you walk by and look at that photo. Now, you stop for a second and admire it and find you’re quite proud of it.
Has it been more than 5 years, maybe 10 or even 20? Do you cringe every time you go back home and wish they would just take that picture down? Is it time to update your family portraits? Just because you’re grown and have long moved out of your parents’ home, it doesn’t mean you can’t help keep their home decor current. You can be proud of the images of you displayed around your parents’ house! Make them proud with a new family portrait they can proudly display on their walls.
