What a spectacular day this ballroom wedding was to be apart of! So many perfectly thought out details to make the day for Daniella and Maks absolutely everything they dreamed of.
With a beautiful ceremony and gorgeous venue, everyone was ready to get the party started! They had you covered from the food to drinks and the specialty glassware for their favorite cocktails, the desserts and Daniella’s favorite… the donut wall!
Some of my favorite moments from this day are the first look (always), flower girls, I mean look at this adorable picture of them. And the grand staircase, one of the most beautiful features of the Alexandria ballroom! The bride loved the ceremony room for the fireplace, the large windows and the beautiful grand chandelier. Stunning features for a stunning wedding!
With an incredible event planner like Nicole George, every single details was thought of. Here’s a little note from Nicole!
“I worked with Daniella and Maksim very closely from the beginning of their engagement to create their dream of a classically elegant downtown Los Angeles wedding. In choosing Alexandria Ballrooms, a hidden and historic gem in the heart of downtown LA, the warm and inviting ballrooms gave an ode to 17th century French architectural design with it’s high ceilings, gold detail, wooden floors, endless mirrors, and sky-high windows. The venue provided a naturally classic and elegant setting but we added pops of deep and rich hues and texture into the florals and design to create a more modern and youthful ambiance.
The bright florals matched the bride’s vibrant personality whereas the hidden nooks and hallways created intimate and private moments that the groom felt was important to incorporate into their day. Aside from textural florals, our rentals and lighting played a large piece to help the space feel more intimate. By lighting up the floor to ceilings in soft shades, incorporating family-style dining, and touches of gold, down to the flatware, heighted the guest experience.
Although the ballroom space immediately felt inviting and intimate, our band certainly helped create a lively opportunity for all guests to feel welcome on the dancefloor. Daniella and Makim opted for courses upon courses upon courses of Russian family favorites to be served all night long followed by a 12′ long dessert display of yummy donuts, cake, berries, and traditional Russian pastries. The atmosphere was classic in all the right ways but spicing up the “traditional” style of wedding with splashes of modern and youthful flair was what made Daniella and Maksim’s wedding beyond perfect!” – Nicole George
How They Met & Their First Date
I always find that when it comes to couples and weddings, the best way to explain their relationship is in their own words! Daniella provided the following details about their relationship and I couldn’t have put it into better words myself!
“Maks and I matched on a dating app! Our first date was our first time meeting. We met at a cute tea and coffee spot in Studio City. He brought cronuts, which I had mentioned always wanting to try. We had such a good time that we decided to continue the night and get ramen, another item I had never had, at another Studio City hot spot, Jinya. Our first date was November 27, 2015.”
“It was the day we got the keys to our new townhouse that we bought!”
Daniella went to the house to meet Maks and rest out paint colors. When she got to the house, she walked into the bedroom and it was covered with rose petals. Maks got down on one knee and popped the question! Seriously, how romantic is that? It’s like out of a movie!
